The Soho Neighbourhood Forum (SNF) views data protection with the utmost importance. The SNF has a website, planforsoho.org, a Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels Where an enquiry is forwarded from these sites, the person making that enquiry has given consent for the SNF to respond using the details provided. It should be noted that the SNF cannot guarantee that the browser or social media route taken to us was not using cookies or other analytics. If any data is being obtained from this route please be assured that the SNF does not receive any data from it. We do not share the personal data that we have to hold on the SNF Members. SNF obtained this data from a number of sources including requests to be added to the SNF email newsletter database, the taking part of surveys and data on volunteers when their services were volunteered. The only processing that takes place is notification of the Annual General Meeting, invitations to engagement events, communications regarding general Plan for Soho activity and surveys. Data protection issues concerning Members and Volunteers are dealt with by the Chair (Lucy Haine), who can be contacted at lucy.haine@planforsoho.org.

All held data is treated as highly confidential and is never passed to anyone beyond those authorised to handle it. At the date of writing (May 2018), the only people authorised to handle personal data are Lucy Haine. Digital data is only ever held on password protected Macs and IPads owned by the authorised people listed above. Non-digital records are kept under lock.

SNF treats the retention and processing of this personal data as being necessary for compliance with our legal obligation to follow the Rules of SNF. Any Member or Volunteer may email Lucy Haine and request:

  • Removal/erasure (which would mean cessation of Membership)

  • Rectification

  • Restriction of use

Or raise an objection to the data being held.
