Soho Votes YES for the Neighbourhood Plan!

We are delighted to announce that following the Soho Neighbourhood Plan Referendum on Thursday 2 September 2021 the Soho Neighbourhood Plan has been adopted.

Residents and business were asked:

“Do you want Westminster City Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Soho to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”

Residential Referendum

YES - 91%

Business Referendum

YES - 89%

Of those registered to vote, the residential turnout was 16% and the business turnout was 39%.

This is a great milestone to achieve after six years of hard work. We would like to thank everyone who has supported the Plan to date.

Westminster City Council has said that it expects to make the order bringing the Plan into force by the end of September 2021.
